LA Bella Vernice - Tinkerbell

Today is a new polish maker to me. La Bella Vernice.
I ordered 5 minis from her collection, one of which is Tinkerbell. It's a soft blue holo. The formula was great! Went on smooth and easy, and dry time was quick. It is a scattered holo, of which I am really liking lately. I'm still a lover of linear, but this really captured my heart.
I layered it over Sinful Colors Love Nails. I think that the color really matched well with Tinkerbell, and only enhanced the holo.

The Accent nail is Orly's Sparkling Garbage, another scattered holo polish that I absolutely ADORE.

I did some stamping with "I <3 Nail Polish" with a little polish bottle using NOPI Stolen Kisses.

Tinkerbell really seemed to me like fairy dust, and that it was floating! That was really hard to capture in the photos, but it was a great effect.
You can buy from her store at www.bellavernice.com.

Challenge - 4th of July & Challenge Update

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
I hope everyone has a safe and fun celebration!

Before I get to the challenge, I wanted to set up some clarification to the giveaway.
The first two entries, email and following Newly Obsession on Facebook, are mandatory. I'm sorry I didn't clarify in the post. I did update the post with this information.  If you have already entered the giveaway without completing both entries, you will NOT be disqualified. There were only two. Any new entries must have the first two completed to be eligible, and all entries will be verified.

Okay enough of the blah blah blah.

For this mani I got to use some untrieds! WOOHOO!
I used:
Orly Royal Navy
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Julep Jackie
Orly Angel Eyes
Julep O Canada! <snicker>
Mash 46 & 49

The next challenge is MIYAZAKI!!!!! I've been waiting for this one. I do see to get excited about a challenge, try to do something, then totally bomb it. So, with my skills getting better I'm psyched to do Miyazaki. I just have the hard part left.  WHICH TO DO?!

Now, GO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY TO GET FREE STUFF!!!!

Challenge - 80's Flick - The Last Unicorn

I feel like this challenge had so much potential that I just had TOO much inspiration! I had ideas for a million different films and couldn't commit.  I ended up going for The Last Unicorn!
My goal was to match the colors of Amalthea's dress with some of the wispiness of the art.  The butterfly happens to be one of my favorite characters, so I wanted him represented too.
TRAGEDY STRUCK when I overestimated how quickly Seche dries.  My middle finger was so smudged! I opted to glue a pretty rose on there rather than re-do the water marble. While these aren't exactly what I'd hoped for, I do think they're quite fetching!

Polishes:
Julep Alice
Julep Annette
OPI My BF scales walls
Sally Hansen Color Quick Silver

Moratorium: Day 1

I have decided to keep a record, or diary if you will, of my emotional state while going through a "no-buy".

Day 1:

I find today to be rough, but almost through it.  While reading emails and facebook posts, I am seeing many sales, which are on going.  This makes me sad. I HAVE the money presently. The SHOULD I spend it is where my inner turmoil rips me apart.
I have asked advice for how to make it through. Many say going through untrieds. This is a good Idea that I will attempt. Hopefully my heart feels up to the task.

Tomorrow is another day. We shall see my mood then?

Lets see a mani not posted yet, shall we. This will lighten the mood?

I had just gotten my holo top coat, and wanted to do a fun mani with a new dark green polish. Some stamping, and it turned out cute for a quick mani.

I will be doing some swatching and untrieds in the next few weeks, along with the challenges. Keep tuned in for the Moratorium Saga.
